Can other users see my cell phone number?
No. Your cell phone number is completely hidden from everyone, including users in your friends list who text message you.
Is Campushopper text messaging free?
Sending text messages is free at Campushopper. However, depending on your cell phone provider and plan, you may be charged when you receive text messages.
How do I turn text messaging on?
On your profile page, assuming text messaging is currently off, click the 'text messaging (OFF)' link located to the right of your profile image. You will find yourself on your 'My Text Messaging' page, which displays your current text messaging settings. If you've already activated text messaging (Status = Activated), then all you have to do is set Text Messaging to 'ON' in the last field and press 'Submit'.
If you have yet to activate text messaging, by adding and confirming your cell phone number, click on 'Add/Edit Cell Phone Number' at the top right or bottom right of the content area, and follow the steps to activate and turn on text messaging.
How do I turn text messaging off?
On your profile page, assuming text messaging is currently turned on, click the 'text messaging (ON)' link located to the right of your profile image. You will find yourself on your 'My Text Messaging' page, which displays your current text messaging settings. Simply set Text Messaging to 'OFF' in the last field and press 'Submit'. The off status will be reflected on your profile page, and users in your friends list will be unable to send you messages.
