 Grade My Professors - Help

How do I find my college?
If your not on the Grade My Professors main page, click on the 'Grade My Professors' tab near the top of the page. On the main page of Grade My Professors, locate the 'Find Your School' box. Select your state, and then select your school. Click the 'Find Your Campus' button. You will be taken to your college's professors' page.

What if my college is not listed?
After first selecting your state, if your college is not present in the 'Select School' drop-down, scroll to the bottom of the 'Select School' drop-down and choose '(School Not Listed)'. Click on the 'Find Your Campus' button. On the following page, tell us the state and name of your school. Also, include a link to your school's website. Click 'Submit' and your school will be added to our database.

Do I have to select my state and school every time I visit Grade My Professors?
No. On subsequent visits to the site, your college's name will appear above the drop-down boxes, next to 'Find Your School' on the main page. Click on your school's name to go to the professors.

How do I add a professor?
On your school's 'Professors' page, which is the first page you see when you go to your college, click on 'Add a Professor' at the top right of the content area, or scroll down to the bottom of the page to the 'Add a Professor' form.

Enter your professor's first name, last name, and select their department. Click on 'Add Professor'. If any existing professors closely match your professor, we'll show you a list of professors. If your professor is in the list, click on their name to open their 'Gradebook' page. Otherwise, click the 'Add Professor' button.

Your professor has now been added. You will be taken to their 'Gradebook' page where you can leave a grade and a comment. If you know their department and didn't select it earlier, you will have the option to do so again.

How do I grade my professor?
On your school's 'Professors' page, browse the existing listing of professors. Do this by using the alphabet letters at the top and select the first letter of your professor's last name. Scroll down the listing and locate your professor. (If your professor does not exist, you will need to add your professor.)

After locating your professor, click on their last name. You will be taken to your professor's comments area. Click the 'Grade Professor' button, and you will open the 'Gradebook' page. Complete the fields, including 'Course', 'Grade', and 'Comments', and then click 'Submit'.

Observe that your grade and comments have been added to the top of the listing on the 'Comments' page.

How do I flag an inappropriate comment?
If you have a valid reason for us to remove a comment, you can mark the comment for deletion. On a professor's 'Comments' page, on each row to the right of the comment, you will see a brown 'X'. Click on the 'X' and you will be taken to a page that asks you "What's wrong with this post?" Fill out the 'Reason to Delete' box and click the 'Submit' button. A message will appear telling you that your request has been submitted.

I don't know my professor's department?
If you are adding a professor and don't know their department, you don't have to select one. The next person who grades the professor will be given the option to select the professor's department.
